Lunch and Soccer @ the Hell Hole

Well I'm already getting lazy at posting but here's some free time....

Was over my bud's house Don aka Ephyu for some Saturday afternoon Premier League soccer and cold brews when he said lunch would be included with the festivities. Great I said I'm
I'm always down to lend a hand cooking, prepping, critiquing, eating. Well Don is no slouch when it comes to whipping up a grade A meal off the grill. He prepared some juicy burgers made with steak seasoning,A1, and planko breadcrumbs 2/3 pounder burgers to be exact.

Served up just right cooked medium with cheese fresh cornmeal dusted roll
mine made with lettuce, tomato, grilled onion which I'll get to in a minute and mayo. served on the side was red white and blue potato salad mouth watering .........

The only Prep I did to help was peel the appetizers which was sweet Vidalia onion cored stuffed with a beef bouillon cube and butter and wrapped in aluminum foil then set on the grill to cook away. After 30-40 minutes of unattended grilling came these supple, juicy globes of goodness rich with flavor that melted in your mouth like jello. Served in a bowl it was the grilled equivalent to french onion soup. A recipe Don got from his Mom over the summer at the beach.

As for the soccer that afternoon I don't remember much but the company and the food were top notch
Thank for the grub Don and by the way......

The Dawg Chow ( New No Da Ji )

Not much of a writer but I'll try. Usually about once a week my colleague and I enjoy a nice lunch at the New No Da Ji Korean buffet on the corner of 25Th St. and Charles. We've been going there for about 8 years and have not been disappointed once.Their isn't a huge selection of chicken cooked 20 different ways and not over the top salad bar, but what they do have is traditional Korean hot and cold items and a good selection of sushi.Above is what I will start with and is a soup that you can add what you want in it Jalapenos, cooked beef, lime slices, onion, cilantro, mung bean sprouts, hot sauce, plum sauce, rice noodles and topped off with a beef broth.below
Service here is friendly. they invite you in to take a seat in the dining room or at the bar which we prefer. The chefs are constantly busy making sushi and the wait staff are busy filling your water glass and removing the empty plates.
this was plate #1 sorry for the blurry pic it is from my camera phone

sushi roll selections are good and change daily but the regulars are always there. crab salad roll,Philly roll, California roll,Chesapeake roll, etc.

tuna,tam ago,salmon,tilapia
wasabi and ginger

here is a nice dish of Ox tail and veggies oh so good......

A nice spicy pork dish with portabellos, onions and jalapenos
good chop chey made with sweet potato noodles and cold veggies and sesame seeds
fried tofu salad
kimchi and pickled diakon radish oh what a treat

they also serve hot bbq ribs, chicken, pot stickers, Korean pancakes, fried veggies, spicy beef soup, miso soup, green tea, fresh fruit, spiced tea,
Once you try it you will fall in love and for $10 you can't beat it
